NEW YORK, Sep 23 (daily paklish): Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with his Hungarian counterpart, Ms. Anita Orbán on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Ishaq Dar congratulated Foreign Minister Orbán on assuming her office and conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure. The two Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-Hungary relations and enhancing cooperation in political, economic, trade & investment, business, education, and people-to-people domains.
Both sides stressed the importance of convening regular bilateral consultative mechanisms to maintain momentum in bilateral engagement.
The two Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments. DPM/FM underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means of addressing challenges and stressed the importance of all parties returning to the Islamabad MoU.
The two sides agreed to remain in close contact on bilateral and regional matters of mutual interest.
Meanwhile Ishaq Dar met with Foreign Minister of Greece, George Gerapetritis, on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York. Foreign Minister Gerapetritis appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, as well as its growing diplomatic engagement on the international stage.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-Greece bilateral relations, with particular focus on expanding trade, investment, and business-to-business linkages. The valuable contribution of the Pakistani diaspora in Greece was also appreciated by the Greek FM.
They exchanged views on regional and global developments, including energy supply chain disruptions, and underscored the importance of unhindered maritime movement.
Both Foreign Ministers agreed to maintain sustained high-level engagement and extended invitations to each other for reciprocal visits.
Meanwhile Ishaq Dar met with Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria, Beate Meinl-Reisinger on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The two sides expressed satisfaction at the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Austria bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, economic relations, education, and people-to-people ties.
They also exchanged views on regional and international developments, including the situation in the Middle East. DPM/FM underscored the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful resolution of disputes, in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter and international law.
The Austrian FM appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and underscored the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement in addressing regional and global challenges. DPM/FM stressed the importance of full implementation of the Islamabad MoU by all parties.
Both agreed to maintain close engagement on matters of mutual interest.
Meanwhile Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Dr. Velislava Petrova-Chamova on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
The two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Bulgaria bilateral relations and expressed their desire to further strengthen ties through enhanced and regular political and economic engagement.
They also exchanged views on regional and global developments.
Ishaq Dar underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means of resolving outstanding issues and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for diplomatic efforts to resolve regional issues.
Both agreed to stay engaged and expand cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
Meanwhile Ishaq Dar met with Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The two Foreign Ministers held a productive exchange on further advancing the close and brotherly Pakistan-Azerbaijan relationship and discussed bilateral matters of mutual interest.
