ISLAMABAD, (daily paklish): Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Zulqarnain Khan. He telephoned the deceased’s son, Raja Babar Ali Zulqarnain, and conveyed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family.
The Chairman Senate said that Raja Zulqarnain Khan was an important political and public figure who played a significant role in the political and democratic life of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. His political contributions and efforts for public welfare were commendable and would always be remembered.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani also paid tribute to the late leader’s contributions and efforts for the Kashmir cause. He said that Raja Zulqarnain Khan played an important role in highlighting the Kashmir issue and raising his voice for the rights of the Kashmiri people. His services for Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the Kashmir cause were highly appreciable.
The Chairman Senate observed that the demise of Raja Zulqarnain Khan was a great loss to the political and public life of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. His political insight, public service and commitment to the Kashmir cause would be remembered with respect.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace, grant him a high place in Jannah, and give the family strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen.
