SRINAGAR, (DAILY PAKLISH): Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu & Kashmir Ghulam Muhammad Butt, along with Naib Ameers Muhammad Abdullah Wani , Faheem Muhammad Ramadan & Secretary General Shabbir Ahmad Falahi, have expressed deep grief over the passing of Hafiz Muhammad Idris, a senior Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Leader and an early companion & close associate of its founder, Syed Abul A’la Maududi (RA).
In a joint statement, they described Hafiz Muhammad Idris as a dedicated Islamic thinker, mentor, & social worker who devoted his life to the propagation of Islam, social welfare, & service to the underprivileged. They said his death is a significant loss to the Islamic Movement & marks the end of an important era.
The JI J&K leadership also recalled his longstanding support for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and his advocacy of a just & lasting resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions.
Paying tribute to his religious, intellectual, & social services, they expressed condolences to Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, the Jamaat’s workers, and the bereaved family. They prayed that Allah Almighty grant the deceased forgiveness and a place in Paradise & give patience to his family.
